Why I’m running

Carroll County is home.

It’s a place built by people who work hard, look out for one another, and take pride in where they live. That’s what makes this community what it is—

and it ought to still matter in how decisions get made.

But if you talk to folks across this county, you’ll hear the same thing more and more…
too many people feel like decisions are being made without them instead of with them.

We’ve seen what happens when decisions move faster than the people they affect.

Growth is coming. You can see it. You can feel it.
Growth isn’t a bad thing—but it brings pressure with it. Pressure on our roads.

Pressure on our infrastructure. Most importantly, Pressure on the people who have been here for years.

So the question isn’t whether Carroll County is going to grow.
The real question is, Will that growth going to work for you?

This campaign is about making sure the people who live here are part of those decisions from the beginning—not brought in after the decisions have been made.

It’s about showing up, listening, and making sure everyday voices carry real weight.

At the end of the day, this community should still feel like it belongs to the people who call it home!

What Matters Right Now

Decisions are being made across Carroll County—
and they will shape what this community looks like moving forward.

The question is simple:
Are the people who live here included in those decisions—
or are a few people making them for everyone else?

.

Real Representation

People deserve more than a vote every few years.
They deserve to be heard, respected, and taken seriously when decisions affect their lives.

Real representation means being present, listening, and making sure everyday voices carry real weight—not just the loudest or most connected ones.

Growth Done Right

Carroll County is changing—and leadership has to be ready for that.
That means planning ahead, protecting what makes this area home, and making decisions that make sense for the people already living here.

Growth should be thoughtful, responsible, and built to serve the community—not overwhelm it.

Clear Communication & Accountability

People deserve to know what’s happening—and why.

That includes how decisions are made, how tax dollars are being used, and who is responsible for the results.

Representing the Community We Are Today

Carroll County has changed—and it’s still changing.
Leadership should reflect the people who live here now—not just the way things have always been.
Every voice should be heard, and decisions should reflect the full community—not just a few.

People don’t expect perfection.
But they do expect to be included.

About Kwasi Hudson

Candidate for Carroll County Commissioner – District 2

Kwasi Hudson is a Navy veteran and lifelong Carroll County resident. He has spent years working, volunteering, and staying connected to the people in his community.

An 1995 graduate of Villa Rica High School, he has remained active locally by volunteering with groups across Carroll County and working with young people as a mentor and tutor through local organizations. Through that work, he’s built real relationships and gained a clear understanding of the challenges families face every day—balancing work, raising children, and trying to stay rooted in a community that continues to change.

As a small business leader in Carroll County, Kwasi has also seen firsthand how local decisions affect everyday life—how growth impacts traffic, costs, and opportunity, and how those decisions can either support working families or leave them feeling pushed to the side.

He is a father and grandfather who cares deeply about what Carroll County will look like for the next generation. That perspective shapes how he approaches public service: by showing up, being honest, and staying focused on what actually matters to the people who live here.

Kwasi is running for County Commission because too many people feel like decisions are being made for them instead of with them. He believes the people who live here should have a real voice in what comes next—and that growth should work for the community, not against it.

Kwasi believes this community should still feel like it belongs to the people who call it home!.
