ROOTED HERE. READY TO SERVE.

Rooted Here

Born in Villa Rica and a proud 1995 graduate of Villa Rica High School, Kwasi Hudson is a father, grandfather, son, brother, business leader, Navy veteran, and lifelong community servant. After serving 13 years in the United States Navy, Kwasi returned home to continue a lifetime of service to the community that helped shape him. Since then, he has remained committed to serving others through business, volunteerism, civic engagement, and public service. Known for his honesty, fairness, and ability to get things done, Kwasi has built a reputation for solving problems, following through on his commitments, and treating people with respect. That dedication to service has led to opportunities to serve as an officer in several local civic and community organizations, including the Villa Rica-Temple Kiwanis Club, the Carroll County NAACP, and the Carroll County Democratic Committee.

Ready to Serve

Serving as your County Commissioner requires leadership, sound judgment, fiscal responsibility, problem-solving, and the ability to build relationships that deliver results. Through his service in the United States Navy, business leadership, and years of community involvement, Kwasi Hudson has developed the skills and experience to serve the people of District 2 while helping shape the future of Carroll County.

Leadership

Leadership is built on trust, responsibility, and accountability. Kwasi leads by example, communicates openly, makes difficult decisions, and accepts responsibility for the results.

Problem Solving

Effective solutions begin with listening. Kwasi gathers facts by listening to those directly affected, consulting subject-matter experts, carefully analyzing the information, and identifying the root cause before making a decision. His focus is on solving problems—not just treating the symptoms.

Fiscal Responsibility

Every tax dollar represents someone's hard work. Years of business leadership have taught Kwasi to balance priorities, control costs, and make responsible financial decisions. He believes taxpayers deserve the same discipline, accountability, and stewardship from their county government.

Building Relationships

Progress depends on strong relationships. Trust, communication, and collaboration are essential to bringing people together, building consensus, and delivering results. Kwasi understands that serving District 2 means working alongside residents, businesses, community organizations, local governments, and regional partners.

Sound Judgment

Good decisions require good information. Kwasi believes in listening first, seeking the knowledge and expertise of those who understand the issue, weighing the facts carefully, considering both immediate and long-term impacts, and making decisions based on what best serves the people of District 2 and Carroll County.

The Future of District 2 & Carroll County

People deserve more than a vote every few years. They deserve to be heard, respected, and taken seriously when decisions affect their lives. Real representation means being present, listening, and making sure everyday voices carry real weight—not just the loudest or most connected ones.

I believe we can do better.

Carroll County is changing—and leadership has to be ready for that. That means planning ahead, protecting what makes this area home, and making decisions that make sense for the people already living here. Growth should be thoughtful, responsible, and built to serve the community—not overwhelm it.

That's why I'm running for County Commissioner.

People deserve to know what’s happening—and why. That includes how decisions are made, how tax dollars are being used, and who is responsible for the results.

My commitment is simple: listen first, make informed decisions, protect taxpayer dollars, and always put the people of District 2 first.

If you believe District 2 deserves thoughtful, accountable leadership that is prepared for the future, I respectfully ask for your vote for Carroll County Commissioner, District 2. Together, we can build an even stronger future for our community.

WHAT I'LL FIGHT FOR

Serving as your County Commissioner is about more than casting votes. It's about protecting our communities, preparing Carroll County for the future, and making thoughtful decisions that improve the lives of the people who call District 2 home. These are the issues I'll champion because I believe they will have a lasting impact on our county.

Responsible Data Center Policies

Artificial intelligence and the digital economy are changing communities across Georgia, but there are still many unanswered questions about the long-term impact of data centers. Before making decisions that could affect future generations, we must do our due diligence to fully understand their impact on our infrastructure, water resources, power grid, public safety, tax base, and quality of life. As your County Commissioner, I'll advocate for a thoughtful and transparent process that protects our community and puts the interests of District 2 and Carroll County residents first. Any proposal should be evaluated on facts—not promises—and should demonstrate that it protects our community and provides more benefits than burdens for our residents.

🚒 Supporting Public Safety and First Responders

Our first responders deserve more than our appreciation—they deserve our support. I'll advocate for competitive compensation, modern equipment, ongoing training, and the resources needed to recruit and retain highly qualified firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, and emergency personnel. As a Navy veteran, I understand the physical and emotional demands that a life of service places on those who answer the call—and on their families. Strong public safety depends on first responders who are well-trained, confident in their abilities, properly equipped, and supported with a healthy work-life balance. When we invest in the people who protect our communities, we strengthen their ability to protect ours. I want our first responders safe, supported, and prepared so they can continue keeping Carroll County safe.

🏡 Keeping Carroll County Affordable

Housing affordability impacts every generation—from young adults buying their first home to seniors hoping to remain in the homes they've worked a lifetime to own. As Carroll County continues to grow, we must ensure that growth doesn't price people out of the communities they call home. As your County Commissioner, I'll advocate for responsible housing policies that expand housing opportunities while preserving the character of our neighborhoods. I'll support exploring innovative housing solutions, strengthening partnerships with nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations, and identifying resources that help seniors, veterans, first responders, working families, and residents on fixed incomes remain safely and affordably in their homes. My goal is simple: to keep Carroll County a place where people can afford to live, work, raise a family, and retire.

My Priorities for District 2

Responsible Growth
Growth is inevitable, but poor planning is not. I will support responsible development that protects our quality of life, strengthens infrastructure, and ensures growth benefits both current and future residents.

Fiscal Responsibility
Taxpayer dollars should be managed with discipline, accountability, and transparency. Every budget decision should reflect the trust residents place in their county government.

Infrastructure & Public Safety
As our county grows, we must invest in the roads, emergency services, and public infrastructure needed to support that growth while maintaining the safety and quality of life our communities expect.

Transparent & Accessible Government
Residents deserve a government that listens, communicates openly, and welcomes public input before important decisions are made. Good government begins with trust.

Representing Every Corner of District 2
Every neighborhood and every community deserves a voice. As your commissioner, I will be accessible, listen to concerns, and work to ensure every part of District 2 is represented fairly and respectfully.
